Globally

As our world has become more global, we have all become more deeply connected. Global Healing Counselors (GHC) serves as a vital conduit connecting licensed counselors and counselors in training with organizations across the globe that serve individuals in crisis and trauma. We exist to help counselors with a Christian worldview realize their calling and desire to:

  • Mobilize quickly to respond to global crises, including natural disasters, war zones, refugee camps, and humanitarian emergencies.
  • Offer immediate, trauma informed care in high stress environments where mental health resources are severely limited or non existent.
  • Bring hope and healing to those facing unimaginable loss, grief, and displacement in areas where resilience building is desperately needed.

Our Mission in Action

Mobilizing for
Crisis Response

When the unimaginable happens, we are ready to respond. Our mission is to secure grants and donations to mobilize trained counselors into communities facing intense emotional and psychological needs. By deploying to these communities, our counselors provide critical, on the ground support to both victims and responders by:

  • Providing immediate trauma care to individuals and communities impacted by war, natural disasters, or displacement.
  • Standing in the gap during critical moments to support overwhelmed local teams and humanitarian workers who are facing severe burnout.
  • Expanding professional impact beyond borders by serving populations affected by political unrest, disasters, and global pandemics.

Training & Long Term Resilience

Equipping Leaders &
Counselors in Training

Our impact goes beyond immediate crisis response; we are dedicated to building long term mental health capacity. We actively invest in both local communities abroad and the next generation of counseling professionals here at home by:

  • Equipping and training local caregivers and community leaders with mental health tools so they can provide ongoing emotional support and build long term community resilience.
  • Providing crucial supervision services to counselors in training, offering them the training and hours they need to help fulfill their program requirements.

Where We Are Going

Led by our dedicated founding board, Deeanna, Katie, JJ, and Rachel, we are actively tracking funds, writing grants, and seeking donations to support our ongoing missions. Through the generous support of our donors, our funding is used directly to:

  • Subsidize travel and lodging expenses for our licensed counselors and counselors in training.
  • Sustain a network of professionals who are fully prepared and ready to deploy the moment global crises arise.
  • Plan future deployment trips to regions like Thailand and Cambodia, with a dedicated focus on connecting with local contacts to support survivors of sex trafficking.
